MySpace & Couch gag for the Simpsons

If you’ve ever watched The Simpsons (at least once in the past 20 years) you would notice that the beginning of intro is always the same except in the last part of it. So now on the series’ 20th birthday, FOX, MySpace and the producers of "The Simpsons" are inviting you to create and share your very own original live-action Couch Gag video. If you decide to enter the contest you can use the official theme song [MP3 file download].

The contest is open till May 18th and the winner will be announced on June 22nd. The prize includes a trip to L.A., an invitation to the annual "The Simpsons" Fall Launch Party, a Home Entertainment System and a custom drawing of The Simpsons. Also the Fan Favorite Winner will win a “The Simpsons” Prize Pack.

Of course, thanks to standard legal disclaimers and avoiding potential visa hassles, this contest is closed to anybody else but legal residents in United States of America. This time, even Canadians are excluded. Pretty pathetic limitations coming from a company that earned hundreds of millions of greenbacks by selling the show around the world.
