Download Microsoft Office 2010 Beta Today!


Microsoft released Office 2010 beta into public distribution and if you want to see what Microsoft will have in June 2010, you only need to follow several easy steps. First of all, to freely download a beta version of Office 2010 Professional Plus, you need to go to Microsoft’s Beta Page and click on Microsoft Office Beta get it now. After all, this is a Microsoft Product and you will need to login to your Windows Live account, and confirm some personal details. After that, you will get a 25 digit MAK Product Key which will activate your product.

Do remember to print or save this page, as it contains your personal MAK [Multiple Activation Key]. There you will find two download options, for 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems with an option to download the package in several languages. After the selection, a new window will open and a download service within will start downloading the files from the Microsoft servers. The download is either 684.48MB for the 32-bit or 750MB for the 64-bit version, containing the complete MS Office 2010 Professional Plus Package [Word, OneNote, InfoPath, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint Workspace, Outlook, Publisher, Communicator and Excel]. The download will take an hour or more depending on your provider, bandwidth, and traffic.

Once the download is complete, launch the downloaded file and follow the set up instructions. After you have installed Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 Beta, please remember to follow these steps:

  1. Open Microsoft Word 2010 Beta and click on the "File" tab. This will take you to the Backstage view. Next click "Help" in the set of tabs on the left.
  2. Click "Change Product Key" on the right side of the screen.
  3. Enter the Multiple Activation Key (MAK) displayed above. Please check the box to activate automatically or restart the app to activate using the activation dialog box.
  4. That?s all you need to do. Entering the MAK key in Microsoft Word 2010 Beta automatically activates all the Office Professional Plus 2010 Beta applications. Click on the "File" tab to return to the Document view.

Update #1 November 30, 2009 20:34 GMT – For those who do not know, Microsoft has also released Windows Office Mobile 2010 on the Windows Mobile Marketplace as a free download.
