Check out library books with free OverDrive app
I was able to find 30 libraries that connected to my phone within 20 miles of my house, out of the 15,000 libraries possible. The libraries offer digital books; I can download EPUB eBooks, and MP3 audiobooks. I liked being able to input a title and the app would find which library had the book.
Untethered access to materials from the library is provided by OverDrive?s Windows Phone. A "Get Books" feature lets you find a nearby library, then look for the book you want, check it out, and download it to your phone. You can view them with orientation lock and save your place with customer bookmarks. You don?t get hit with late fees, because the digital books will automatically expire when times up.

The company previously announced their offering of the app for BlackBerry users. In April it was available at the MobiHand Superstore. The OverDrive Media Console works on BlackBerry touch-screen devices running at least BlackBerry OS v4.7 and non-touch-screen devices running BlackBerry OS v4.5 or newer. As of this writing, OverDrive was not found yet at BlackBerry App World.

The app is also on Mac OS 10.4.9 and up. OverDrive hosts more than 500,000 premium digital titles from more than 1,000 publishers. If your favorite is published by Random House, HarperCollins, BBC Audiobooks America, Harlequin, or Bloomsbury, you have hours of reading ahead of you.
