G. Skill unveiled Wednesday its next-generation of SSDs, the PCI-e based Phoenix Blade Series.
G. Skill says its SSD will have a capacity of 480 GB, and will use four LSI SF-2281 SSD controllers in RAID 0. Using PCIe gives the SSD the potential to be super-speedy, as G. Skill says it can push out read and write speeds of 2,000 MB per second and deliver 245,000 input/output operations per second of 4KB random write.
The G.Skill Phoenix Blade PCIe SSD comes with a 3-year limited warranty.
Pricing and availability have not yet been announced.
