Packaging
The box is massive, easily one of the largest for a motherboard that I have ever seen. The box has nice graphics on it and does a good job outlining the features of the board. The motherboard and accessories are in two separate trays within the outer ox and everything is nicely packaged and organized. Overall the packaging is pretty standard fare for an Asus motherboard, as the real focus should be on the hardware itself.
Accessories
There are a lot of included accessories and they are nicely packaged in the box with individual baggies. The OC Panel comes packaged next to the motherboard as it is trying to showcase them together. The OC Panel is a very nice addition and it is made even better for those who will be using the board in a ful case with the addition of a bay mounting kit for the panel. The LCD panel tilts and is easily mounted inside a cases’ 5.25″ external bay. I found that the panel is a very nice addition that will let you keep track of multiple different things like fan rpm, temps, fan profiles, and voltages. The information on ASUS’s site says the OC Panel is supposed to show debug codes but I tried to get it to display them when I was testing the board out and had no luck. Where the readout was supposed to be there was other text there. Overall the accessory assortment is more than anyone will need and that is a great feeling since Asus is making sure that users will be fully covered, and for such an expensive board they should be.
