In its recent earnings report, Advanced Micro Devices  reported an improvement its second quarter of 2014, compared with the same period the previous year. The company posted a loss of $36 million ($0.05 per share) during the period, a reduction, compared with $74 million loss ($0.10 per share)  in the same period the previous year.
