Without any doubt, the most influential computers of all times were the ones that packed the combination of keyboard and a computer. Spectrum ZX80, Commodore C64, Amiga 500..they all brought the elegancy of tower-less construction and enabled liberty to connect the system to whatever you had.
At CES Unveiled event, ASUS’s Chairman Jonney Shih presented the gathered journalists with the new generation of EEE PCs. But the product that gathered most attention is the new keyboard PC. ASUS combined a sleek aluminum keyboard, touch-screen LCD and EEE PC hardware to create a low-power PC that can connect wherever you go, and still have battery for autonomous operation. In order to connect to a display, this keyboard PC uses ultraband HDMI, and you can connect it to displays such as Dell’s 2408WFP or just about any LCD/Plasma TV out there.

Does this remind you of something? "C64 meets MacBook Air"...
This was just one of many new products launched by a company that has its heights set on nothing else but greatness. ASUS and Acer want to take on Dell, HP and Lenovo, and the main difference between these companies is that some like to launch prototypes of products that won’t be coming to life, and some will launch prototypes that will come to life by next trade show.
In any case, this is a PC I am definitely interested in 😉
