On CES 2010 in Las Vegas, Audio-Technica announced the new ATH-ANC25 QuietPoint active noise-canceling on-ear headphones. The key aspect of this product is naturally its price?. The first $99 priced active noise cancelation headphones certainly sparked interest among several hundred journalists.

These are the first-ever Audio-Technica’s on-ear headphones that block up to 80% of environmental noise, offer excellent sound quality, comfort, portability and provide clear, dynamic sound.

Like all Audio-Technica QuietPoint headphones the ATH-ANC25 uses technology that detects environmental noise through small microphones incorporated into each earpiece, and applies a corresponding sound-canceling signal.
The headphones are engineered for long-wearing comfort thanks to their soft ear pads. They have a detachable cord with in-line volume control, and unlike many other noise-canceling headphones, its audio works even without batteries or when its noise-canceling function is turned off. They are compatible with the Apple iPod, iPhone and iPod touch, and can be used  with all sorts of portable music and DVD players,mobile phones, laptops, computers, in-flight entertainment systems and other devices.
