Volkswagen Golf VII GTI is another edition of the highly popular sports hatchback that’s been capturing the hearts and minds of young performance oriented drivers. It features a powerful (relatively) engine combined with beefed up exterior looks and racing inspired interior additions, all filled with a rather easy to drive aura placed around this vehicle. The car, in this version, features a 2.0-litre turbocharged direct-injection petrol engine (TSI) with 220 PS.
In the Golf GTI Performance version, the engine’s maximum power is boosted to 230 PS. Both GTI models develop a maximum torque of 350 Nm (258 lbs ft). The standard GTI accelerates to 62 mph in 6.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 152 mph. The GTI Performance has a top speed of 155 mph and needs just 6.4 seconds for the sprint to 62 mph. Both versions offer the aggressive exterior body panels and interior details, like the bucket seats and flat-bottom steering wheel for example, all combined to make it a rather attractive vehicle in terms of design and power.
This particular Golf VII GTI has been equipped with a set of VMR Wheels to further accentuate its exterior looks. These wheels are a lightweight design made out of cast aluminum, offering unprecedented weight reduction and overall, a nice appeal thanks to its mesh design. Wheels are sized 18 inches front and rear, featuring a Midnight Blue finish, which works well against the white exterior of the car, producing a nice overall appearance.
