It seems that these days, Uber is rocking it out! The well-known transportation service recently introduced UberEats, an app that allows you to order a takeaway the same way as ordering yourself a ride. Now, they’ve introduced ‘Family Profiles’. So, what exactly does this mean? First, with this option you allow your friends and/or family, to share one payment method for Uber overall. One feature passengers have frequently requested is an easy way to pay for family and friends. That’s why Uber announced Family Profiles, a new feature launched in Atlanta, Dallas and Phoenix that lets up to 10 riders safely and easily share one
Uber Will Now Deliver Food Straight To Your Door
You use Uber? Then you’re gonna love this: “We’ve been cooking up something new. An app that makes getting great food from hundreds of restaurants as easy as requesting a ride.” – the official announcement of ordering a meal – with Uber. The newly introduced app allows users to order takeaway food from favorite restaurants. But with a twist. You are still able to order food in a similar format, but this time you can order a meal and have it delivered onto longer distances – and with a dedicated app to serve all your ordering needs. The new UberEATS app is now available on iOS
Amazon Restores Fire OS 5 Encryption on Kindle Tablets
UPDATE: March 7th, 2016, 11:26AM GMT Amazon released a statement where the company backtracked on its earlier decision: “We will return the option for full disk encryption with a Fire OS update coming this spring.” According to an Amazon spokesperson, the company announced its removal of Fire OS 5 encryption feature due to ‘internal belief’ in the company that there aren’t too many users which use this feature, and it was removed before the whole Apple vs. FBI case blew up. Encrpyting and Decrypting the data is tasking on the built-in SOC processors, and the company thought it could speed the performance. After a number of users complained and

Instagram Announces Account Switching Feature
There’s no doubt that Instagram is one of most popular social networks. More importantly, it is considered to be one of key marketing platforms out there. The amount of marketing / community management / social media marketing jobs that lists ‘handling Instagram profiles’ is all but mandatory for 2015/2016. Yet, the application didn’t change since its inception (and acqusition by Facebook); one application install equals one Instagram account. Instagram always defended this policy as their way to deal with the ‘gray area of the Internet’ such as double accounts, advertisements, information collection etc. In turn, this enabled rise of software such as ListaPost and Schedugram. Both apps eased the life
Google Plus Just Took A More Fashionable Turn
Google just released information about the pending Google Plus update. The popular, but not the highest popular social media network out there, just got better. The reasons are several: there is a new design, a completely revamped way of how you use Google Plus and quite an interesting selection of features coming up. For many, Google Plus has been and is an unwanted child of the social media world – but in all true fairness, it does bring a whole lot to the table, that most of us haven’t really utilized or understood well enough. Google has been talking with their users, all in order

Whether you are a paranoid being or simply want added privacy and/or security, this is the phone for you it seems. It does this by offering full device encryption, thanks to Silent OS – an interesting version of Android intended for enterprise customers, putting an emphasis on secure and worry-free daily routines. If you thought the Blackphone 2 is another one of those ultra secure, but slow and outdated phones, think again. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz, 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM, it has a
Report: Amazon Will Forego Future Phone Development
According to a story on Wall Street Journal, Amazon will forego any further phone development. While not ruled out completely, the development of the next-generation Amazon phone is extended “indefinitely.” Sources of the paper say that a significant volume of Fire Phone engineers have been sacked, which marks the first round of layoffs in history of Lab126, Amazon’s secretive hardware division. The failure of Fire Phone (no longer available for sale) took Amazon in a direction of rethinking their hardware strategy. With the aformentioned device, even heavy subsidizing didn’t help – the phone wouldn’t sell even when the price was dropped from $199 – $0.99 in an effort
Fossil, Michael Kors to Enter Wearable Market with Intel
While various watchmakers are considering entering the Android wearable market, two of them (finally) revealed their plans today. Fossil and Michael Kors will enter the wearable market, all combined with Intel as the company providing them with processing power. During the IDF (Intel Developer Forum) keynote, the fashion brands revealed what they call the “connected accessories” product group and lineup. Yes, are all powered by the tech-giant Intel. This could well mean some newly found success on the wearable market for Google-powered products, as we have yet to see something spectacular in that area. From what we found out earlier today, the three wearable devices are a
Google Officially Names Android M as Marshmallow
For as long as this operating system existed, it was either codenamed or officially named for candies. Thus, it is no surprise that Google is yet again going for the sugar candy name for the Android 6.0, which is scheduled to debut soon. Called Marshmallow, it will feature the next step in the evolution of the mobile system, designed to provide speed, ease of use and advanced features for the users. “Whether you like them straight out of the bag, roasted to a golden brown exterior with a molten center, or in fluff form, who doesn’t like marshmallows? We definitely like them! Since the launch of the M Developer
NVIDIA Announces 8″ SHIELD Tablet Recall due to Fire Hazard
When it was originally introduced, the 8″ SHIELD tablet represented the highest performing tablet on the market, packing Tegra K1 SoC with 192 Kepler cores, world’s first tablet with desktop-like GPU. We were quite impressed with the performance Tegra achieved by using stock Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system, as well as overall built quality. The only negative was that the screen resolution wasn’t the greatest on an 8″ tablet, and it would heat up during gameplay – but not more than for example, Nexus 9 tablet (also powered by the same processor), or Texas Instruments powered Amazon Kindle HDX 8.9″. However, it looks like the tables have turned on
Google Translate Translates Almost Everything in 27 Languages
Couple of years ago, the world of mobile apps was shocked with the appearance of World Lens app, which detected words on live cameras. Even though the mobile phones at the time had quite limited camera capabilities, what World Lens showed to us was the future of translation. Naturally, revolutionary apps like that do not just disappear as Google proved by acquiring the app maker, Quest Visual. Given that World Lens for Google Glass was one of most impressive things I’ve personally used on Google’s first attempt at Augmented Reality, as you can see on video below: Now, over a year passed since the acquisition of
