GoPro (NASDAQ:GPRO) today announced its GoPro Hero4 Black and Hero4 Silver as well as its new Hero budget camera. However, the big deal was that GoPro had finally released a camera that could really do 4K video at 30 FPS and that’s exactly what the GoPro Hero4 is capable of. And in typical GoPro fashion, the company already has a promotional video showing you, in 4K, what this new camera footage looks like. Below, you can see a single SMM block diagram of the Maxwell architecture, followed by the full GM-204 architecture. Keep in mind that this is not the full-blown version of Maxwell. The GeForce GTX 980 is based upon Nvidia’s GM-204 GPU

No, we didn’t make a typo. Samsung has actually released a 105″ curved UHD TV that will retail for $120,000. This enormous curved UHD TV set is actually not a standard aspect ratio as it actually has a higher resolution than cinematic 4K. Currently, most ‘4K’ TVs are really UltraHD or QuadHD (3840 x 2160 resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio). Cinematic 4K, also known as true 4K is 4096×2160 (1.9:1) which is what many in the film industry believe to truly be 4K. However, this new Samsung Smart UN105S9 TV has an astounding resolution of 5,120 x 2,160 which has an aspect ratio of 2.39:1. In addition to
WiGig is a technology that has been developed by Wilocity with the help of various industry partners, including Cisco, Marvell and Qualcomm. We’ve been following the company for years and have been able to see their technology develop little by little into a truly mobile technology. They’ve moved from a proof of concept all the way to integrating their technology into laptops and smartphones. From our experience, their laptop technology is far more mature than their mobile technology, however they have made significant strides in terms of improving the technology’s performance and usability. They already have their WiGig technology working in some of Dell’s laptops

However, if you look at what Sony has done with the very same 36.3 Megapixel sensors, it seems like a tale of two worlds. With Sony, you’ve got the a7, a7R and the a7S, all of which have a lot of unique features and encourage you

Panasonic has just opened up the world of 4K to basically anyone that finds it be a valuable resource to have (especially if they already have a 4K TV). Cameras like this one are going to be what leads the 4K content explosion that drives people towards 4K TVs because unfortunately, the studios are deciding to sit on their hands until the time is right for them. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1000 is currently for sale on
