Re-focusing Tegra’s strategy away from smartphones has appeared to pay-off for Nvidia, as the company’s profits climbed 33% compared to the same quarter last year on strong growth in its Tegra as well as datacenter and cloud divisions. For the second-quarter of its fiscal year Nvidia reported net income of $128 million on revenue of $1.1 billion, compared to a net profit of $96.4 million for the same quarter last year.
